3 FEBRUARY 2024 – 20h – LE FABULEUX DESTIN DES BALLETS RUSSES – OPRL+ Dance

Lara Barsacq (Charleroi Danse) and her company perform some of the most important works written for Serge de Diaghilev between 1909 and 1929, paying tribute in today’s language to one of the most glorious periods in dance history. In this performance, accompanied by Benjamin Haemhouts and the OPRL, the choreographer also refers to a muse from the past who nurtured her and remains a constant source of inspiration: Ida Rubinstein, Diaghilev’s adored muse. Her memory infuses the show with energy and daring, making it an ode to women and freedom.

On the programme:
– C. Debussy – Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune
– C. Debussy – Clair de lune
– A. Tcherepnine – Narcisse et Echo (extraits)
– N. Rimski-Korsakov – Shéhérazade (extrait)
– M. Ravel – Daphnis et Chloé: Suite No. 2

SATURDAY 3/2/2024 – 20h – SALLE PHILHARMONIQUE – LUIK
