As usual, the new year is kicked off festively and musically at one of the New Year’s concerts. This year, tributes will be paid to Naples. From great Italian opera composers who studied there, to premiers of several world known works, it remains a city that appeals to the imagination. This is delivered for you by Kurt van Eeghem, assisted by several singers from the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, as well as Casco Phil and Benjamin Haemhouts.
The programme includes arias from Anna Bolena, La Traviato, Die Fledermaus and Il Barbieri di Siviglia, as well as the classics such as ‘An der Schönen Blauen Donau, Radetzky March and the Tritsch-Tratsch Polka.
