04 Oct JUNE 25, 2027 – THE PEARL FISHERS
Fri 25.06.27 – 20h30 – Openluchtpodium Festivalhal, Donkmeer
On Friday 25 June 2027, Casco Phil, in co-production with Festival Stroom, brings Bizet’s The Pearl Fishers to the open-air stage at Lake Donk in Berlare. Following the success of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, theatre wizard Tom Goossens takes on another classic. In this quirky adaptation, the fishermen’s association constantly takes on a different guise, while five characters grapple with the question of whether their love for the association truly comes before everything else. Dominique Van Malder, Geert Van Rampelberg, Janne Desmet, Ineke Nijssen and a soprano bring the story to life, with Casco Phil conducted by Benjamin Haemhouts.
