During Maanrock, Casco Phil takes you on a journey through the rich repertoire for string orchestra, from Mozart’s playful divertimenti and Grieg’s expressive Holberg Suite to Bartók’s raw dances and Barber’s unforgettable Adagio for Strings. The highlight of the concert is Ukrainian top cellist Aleksey Shadrin, who brings together virtuosity and lyricism in Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations.
