Casco Phil opens with Music for Strings, an original and modern piece by young Flemish composer Mathias Coppens, composed especially for them. The ensemble then performs Mozart’s well-known violin concerto, which combines virtuosity and dramatic expression, featuring top violinist Abigel Kralik. Finally, they present Mendelssohn’s Fourth Symphony, also known as the Italian, in which he brings the Italian landscape and atmosphere to life with a richness of romantic imagery in an energetic and vibrant symphony.
