Casco Phil opens its monumental trilogy with Beethoven’s heroic Prometheus Overture. Ligeti follows with the playful Concerto Românesc, blending Romanian and Hungarian folk melodies. The evening concludes with Schubert’s Ninth Symphony, ‘Die Große’: a grand 60-minute work known for its lyrical power and Schubert’s beautiful melodies. All this under the professional direction of Benjamin Haemhouts.
