What better way to start the day than with a morning walk? Add music, poetry, a warm cup of coffee, and a pastry, and your Sunday is complete. Winter Morning Walks invites you on Sunday, December 8, at 8 a.m. in Mariekerke (near Bornem). Casco Phil’s string quartet has crafted a warm program to chase away the winter chill. Philip Glass’s meditative String Quartet No. 3 is paired with masterpieces that achieve maximum expression with minimal means. Pianist Gen Tomuro pays tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto, while Arvo Pärt’s Für Alina completes the search for beauty in simplicity.
