Start the new year with the warm sounds of Slavonic Impressions! In this series of New Year’s concerts, Casco Phil takes you on a musical journey through Eastern Europe, full of passion and melancholy. From fiery dances to captivating Slavonic masterpieces, they bring atmosphere, intensity, and sparkling energy. As is tradition, Kurt Van Eeghem will be the host of this celebration.
Let yourself be warmed by the rich musical traditions of the Slavic heart. Come enjoy and celebrate the new year with us!
The program includes works such as Glinka’s Ruslan & Ludmila Overture, Slavonic dances (Dvořák), Romanian dances (Bartók), and Hungarian dances (Brahms), as well as classics like Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, Shostakovich’s Second Waltz, and Smetana’s The Moldau.
