Bryce Dessner may be best known to the general public as the composer of film scores for The Revenant and The Two Popes, or as the guitarist with rock group The National. In THE SINGEL, he returns to his roots and anchors himself entirely in the classical music tradition.
The program includes the Piano Double Concerto with the world-renowned Katia & Marielle Labèque at the piano. And as if one concerto in an evening were not enough, Jörgen van Rijen also performs the Trombone Concerto dedicated to him. Bryce Dessner himself and David Chalmin will perform St. Carolyn by the sea. Also featured, is the Suite Complete Mountain Almanac, where Bryce Dessner along with Rebecca Karijord and Pauline de Lassus take on the solos.
