De vraag duikt meermaals op bij het beluisteren van Kurt Weills repertoire: is hier een klassiek componist aan het werk of wordt er geflirt met musical? Wat maakt het uit. Weill voel je tot in je hart.<\/p>\n

Dit is ook het geval voor LoveMusik, een ode aan het werk van de 20e eeuwse componist. Het libretto van de Amerikaanse theatermaker Alfred Uhry is gebaseerd op Weill\u2019s diepe, maar complexe, liefde met zangeres\/actrice Lotte Lenya. Met Lenya als inspiratiebron en Weill\u2019s muziek als leidraad, volgt LoveMusik het leven van deze fascinerende kunstenaars.<\/p>\n

Regisseur Stefaan Degand gaat in deze versie aan de slag met LoveMusik\u2019s onderliggende thema van aantrekken en afstoten, de wispelturige dynamiek in de liefdesrelatie van Lenya en Weill. Een ander thema dat wordt uitgepuurd \u2013 onder andere in het sc\u00e8nebeeld \u2013 gaat over de innerlijke onrust van personages die vooral \u201conderweg zijn\u201d.<\/p>\n

LoveMusik is een emotioneel, komisch en verrassend portret gebracht door de getalenteerde zangers van de International Opera Academy en Casco Phil.<\/p>\n
