Impressive music based on the song ‘Heroes’ of David Bowie.
In 1996 Philip Glass wrote his fourth symphony based on musical material by David Bowie (including his album “Heroes”) and Brian Eno. During the late seventies, Bowie and Eno made a recording series in which clear influences from world music, experimental avant-garde and rock and roll were combined. According to Glass, these recordings redefined the future of pop music. In Glass’ fourth symphony “Heroes”, this music of the ‘classics’ is definitely a source of inspiration.
